FLUORALYS ® is based on the technology developed during the European research project ICARE (FP6 ) .
From 2006 to 2010, this project was created to realize a first proof of concept of the value of the fluorescence as a tool for real-time measurement in specific food matrices ( eg chips ); especially aimed toward undesirable neoformed compounds. The measurement tool was developed and improved as part of the company Spectralys founded by Ines Birlouez Aragon , scientific coordinator of the ICARE project.
In this context, proofs of concept have been realized on several industrial applications and also in the European research project PROMETHEUS started in 2011 and coordinated by Spectralys
Prometheus investigates strategies to lower contamination linked to the process. New technologies and processes are evaluated as well as methods for rapid monitoring of such molecules , including FLUORALYS® .
FLUORALYS® applications (biscuits, infant formula, baby food, etc.) could be demonstrated in various fields.
For the development of calibration models , Spectralys has a network of reference laboratories in the field of analysis of process contaminants which are not common laboratory methods and highly technical .
